Dr Monique Cheung graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 2008. She worked in general dentistry in Sydney for 11 years, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) in 2013. Monique completed a PhD in 2020 on the topic of dental implant maintenance and obtained her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics in 2022, both at the University of Melbourne. She has published several papers in the Australian Dental Journal and other peer-reviewed international journals.

Monique has been involved with teaching in endodontics to dentists and dental students at the University of Melbourne and in NSW. She is a member of the Australian Society of Endodontology and the Australian Dental Association, and regularly attends scientific meetings to keep up to date with the latest research in dentistry and endodontics. Monique has special interest in the management of dental trauma. Outside of endodontics, Monique enjoys playing racquet sports, hiking and classical music.
